Reporting: This position reports into the Vice President of the Wireless Division.
Location: This position is based at WPI’s headquarters in Sonoma, CA.

Primary Function:
This is a US based, customer-facing, field based applications engineering position.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the sales managers and distribution channels to provide direct technical support to customers to enable them to successfully select and integrate WP Wireless antenna solutions into their wireless devices. A secondary role is providing technical leadership to the inside and outside sales channels.

Customer focused with a proven track record of providing applications engineering support within assigned territories in an outside applications engineering role.
Must be a self starter and with minimum 2 years prior applications engineering experience within the wireless components market. (preferably with embedded antenna experience)
Excellent verbal/written English language/communications skills
Ability to travel up to 40% within the USA.
Excellent rapport building, communications and interpersonal skills, and an ability to enthuse and excite customers with our product line and services.
Good planning and organization ability are essential.
Excellent technical acumen.
Able to work remotely without daily supervision.
Able to effectively use resources, technical and other knowledge to creatively solve problems and to manage customer expectations.
Uses own initiative in owning and resolving issues and seeking business opportunities or process improvements (internally and externally).
Familiarity with and capable to use network analyzers to measure VSWR/impedance
Must have a working knowledge and ability to design matching circuits

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical college training. A minimum of 2 years industry experience in an antenna, RF or Wireless applications engineering or technical customer support role for wireless components required.
